The results from the questionnaire show that males are the dominant gender attracted to the horror genre, the average age bracket of 16 to 17 year olds was the most popular. The preferred type of horror sub-genre was Psychological and Paranormal horror films. Being introduced to the victim first seemed to be the majority vote, and sudden movement without a source was one of the scariest aspects within horror films. However the cliche they hated the most within horror movies was having the typical damsel in distress and wanted to see quick, fast paced cuts which create tension.
